I am the founder of HFN and it's parent company, Three Questions. Over the years I have had significant interdisciplinary and industry experience that includes healthcare, technology, manufacturing and distribution, private equity, outsourcing and leveraged acquisitions. My executive and leadership experience includes director, CEO and chief financial officer responsibilities, business-model transformation, management-team recruiting, technology conversion and large-scale audits, among other things.
In addition to this role, I have been CEO of Kerlan-Jobe, LLC (a non-clinical affiliate of KJ), since 2004, and between 2003 and 2006 was acting CEO of Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic. The clinic is home to the world-renowned sports medicine and orthopaedic surgery practice that pioneered the field of sports medicine, as well as the country’s largest sports medicine fellowship training program. I continue as a consultant to the clinic.
Otherwise, I represent the lead investment group in Sovereign Surgical Holdings, L.P., a developer and operator of surgery centers and specialty surgery hospitals. I am also a principal of Cumberland Capital Corporation, a private equity investment firm that has directly or indirectly participated in acquisition, divestiture and financing transactions with aggregate values of more than $2 billion; a director of 820 Technologies, LLC, a leading provider of digital identification technologies for the financial services industry; a director of Cornerstone Assistance Network, a faith-based community services organization, and; an officer and director of various private investment entities. My career began as a CPA at KMG Main Hurdman. I hold a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration with an emphasis on accounting from West Virginia University.
